Hot in Cleveland revolves around three fabulous women in Los Angeles of a certain age, who are best friends (Valerie Bertinelli and Wendie Malick Jane Leeves). Their lives change forever when his plane headed for Paris for a girls-only celebration unexpectedly lands in Cleveland and soon rediscover "promised land" a new one. Loving your new home, women are living under one roof and fighting the caregiver sassy (Betty White) of the property to be rented.
The show was created by Suzanne Martin (Frasier, Ellen) and produced by Martin, Sean Hayes and Todd Hatter, through their production companies and Hazy Mills Productions Samja Productions, and is produced in association with TV Land. The concept behind the show is based on an original idea by Lynda Obst, who serves as executive producer. The series is filmed before a live audience at CBS Studio City in Los Angeles with a multi-format camera.
